Children available for adoption include infants, sibling groups, older and special needs children, both boys and girls. These children reside in orphanages or foster care. In 2011, U.S. citizens adopted approximately six children from Ecuador.

Travel required: Yes; two trips, approximately 3-4 weeks, and then one week.

Singles accepted: Yes

Other: Married applicants can have no prior divorce. Unless single parents are 30 or more years older than the child they wish to adopt, single women may adopt only girls, and single men may adopt only boys. Post-placement reports until the child reaches majority.
